Newly married couples may find it helpful to talk over difficulties they are experiencing after they have settled into their marriage. Events may occur that unsettle the relationship and a couple may need to reconsider their expectations of the marriage. Differences in matters of sexuality may lead to difficulties that the couple are unable to resolve themselves.
Affairs can signal the end of a relationship or, if they are addressed carefully with understanding, can provide an opportunity for the couple to recommit themselves to each other and the relationship. It maybe helpful to address these and many other concerns that frequently lead to conflict in a relationship in couples therapy.
